Review: Anarbor at Goldfield Trading Post, Sacramento

On July 13, Highwire Magazine headed out to the Goldfield Trading Post in Sacramento to see Anarbor perform.

The first band of the night was The Catching. They did a great job of setting the tone for the night. The band’s groovy music and impressive stage presence made it easy for the crowd to connect with the music. The next band was Silent Rival, who put on a high energy performance. Their lead singer Sara Coda is truly an awesome frontwoman. Between her strong vocals and notable stage presence, it was easy for them to keep everyone’s attention on the band while they were performing.

Then it was time for Anarbor to play. Immediately we were blown away by how everyone in the crowd started full on dancing and singing along as soon as the music started. It was a quick realization that this wasn’t your average show but actually one big dance party. There was no denying the high energy the crowd had throughout the whole set. Despite their set getting cut a little early Anarbor still made the best of their time and put on a very entertaining set for their devoted audience. Even though the band had already mentioned it on stage that they had to cut their set a little short that didn’t stop the crowd from chanting “one more song!” after the band was done playing.

All in all, it was a great night of music at Goldfield Trading Post. We will be remembering Anarbor’s performance for a while.
