Vans Warped Tour to take place for the final time in 2018

Warped Tour 2018

The Vans Warped Tour has been running since 1995, but yesterday founder Kevin Lyman revealed that 2018 will be the last cross-country edition of the tour. While this doesn’t rule out spin-off events, fans took to social media to discuss their “Warped memories” and announce their upset over the news. The line-up has yet to be announced but the tour is sure to be a sell-out with music fans of all ages coming together to bid their favourite festival goodbye.

Many social media users thought the news may be connected with the fact that several allegations have been made against band members this week, most of which who have played the Vans Warped Tour before and fall in to that kind of scene. Lyman defended his decision as being down to other reasons such as, “an evolving summer festival industry, a shrinking pool of bands, and declining ticket sales amongst its teenage demographic.” You can read his full interview with Billboard here – http://bit.ly/2ALL4MD.
